White Barn
Still life with bottle and lemon

The exhibition at Theatre by the Lake was not just enjoyable for all who went but it raised more than fifty thousand pounds for the theatre. (yes, £50k +)  Well done everybody concerned from those who bought a back catalogue or a card to those spending thousands. It was far more than I ever imagined especially the etchings' sales. It was almost a sell out of those we had for the exhibition – we had 2 Isolated Barn left at the final reckoning which didn’t take long! We took orders on those which still had capacity in the editions of 75 which are now fulfilled as Robert Adam who printed them all from Kelly’s plates worked his socks off. He is now enjoying a well earned holiday.

Once I have got all the etching orders away there will be a few left if anyone is wishing they had ordered.  Just let me know. We have finished the edition of 75 in some cases but the ones still available are indicated on the web site (www.percykelly.co.uk  under works for sale / prints.)

Tickets for the revitalized Words by the Water Festival 5-9th June are selling fast I am told. You can pick up a programme at the theatre, book shops, tourist centres -  all over Cumbria or see  www.wordsbythewaterkeswick.com. It began with a one-off  appetizer last Friday with Alexander McCall Smith in conversation with BBC Radio 4s Helen Millican and was packed. Good start. Book now for the rest. I’ll see you there.
